Founder Pete Lescoe has been in the food industry for 25+ years. He’s worked in every department of a grocery store, unloaded watermelon trucks on the night shift, and founded multiple brands.

“When one of my brands had minor errors printed on two new SKUs, the corrections cost $50,000+ to fix and created friction between the brand, co-manufacturer, and printing supplier. The effort required to fix the labels was a waste of time and resources. That’s when I decided human proofreading needs an upgrade and I started Okayd.
